More than 150 years ago, the name "Nightingale" came to embody true nursing leadership – the type that has nothing to do with titles, seniority or one’s position in the hierarchy, but is directly related to one’s ability to influence others to maximize their efforts toward achieving a goal.  Florence Nightingale Awards for Nursing Excellence recipients exemplify what it means to exceed expectations. From the emergency room to the bedside to mental health facilities, they go above and beyond any job description, working tirelessly to provide exceptional patient care to all while advancing the nursing profession.
