Senior year is an exciting time for students in the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. As part of their capstone design experience, students have the opportunity to take what they have learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world aerospace challenges.

Working in teams, our seniors design, develop, test, and refine innovative aerospace systems and solutions in aircraft, engine, and rocket design. From the earliest stages of brainstorming and engineering analysis to building prototypes and demonstrating their final designs, these projects give students valuable hands-on experience that prepares them for careers in the aerospace industry.

But bringing these ideas to life takes more than creativity and engineering expertise. Students need access to materials, components, equipment, software, and other resources to design and build their projects.
