The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team will travel to Greece and The Netherlands this June for a nine-day tour, including the opportunity to play against top international competition, see places they have only read about, learn about new cultures, and bond for the upcoming season.
While in Amsterdam, the Bearcats will visit the fascinating Anne Frank and Van Gogh museums before a match with the Dutch National Team. In Athens, the team will take excursions to a variety of remarkable and truly historic Greek sites, including the ancient Greek Temple, the archaeological Museum of Delphi, the Tholos of the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the island of Delos, the Athenian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and Greek Parliament. In addition, the Bearcats will join members of the English and Greek national teams to give back to the community via the Special Olympics.
All gifts will go toward the UC Athletics Women’s Excellence Fund in support of the women's lacrosse program.
